Kindergarten Flat Stanley projects
During the Kindergarten photography unit we have been learning about what makes a good photograph. The two things we have been talking about are subjects and backgrounds. As a class we read excerpts from Flat Stanley, a picture book about a boy who is flattened by his bulletin board and can do amazing things.
Each Kindergartener colored in his or her own Flat Stanley and made sure to give it a face and lots of detail in the clothing. Next, we took our Flat Stanley people on a photo adventure around Janney and put our subjects in front of beautiful and creative backgrounds. This was a great introduction to holding our cameras, framing our subjects, and pressing the shutter button.
